Sabi Sand Nature Reserve

The Sabi Sand sits in the south-western corner of the greater Kruger, some 65,000 hectares of prime lowveld shared by a handful of private lodges. Decades of careful, low-volume traversing have produced some of the most relaxed leopard viewing anywhere in Africa.

With one of the richest game populations in the country, the chances of seeing the Big Five on a short stay are excellent — and sightings tend to be unhurried, with only a few vehicles permitted at any one time.
